Rulessa rules: every clue combination explained
Every Rulessa clue combines one trait—Colour, Shape, or Pattern—with one relationship: All same, All different, or Exactly 2 same. These nine combinations are the complete rule vocabulary, and each condition applies only to the named trait.
Use this rule library when a specific clue is blocking your daily challenge. Read the direct answer first, check the passing and failing examples, then return to the puzzle grid and re-evaluate the intersecting logic loops.
Colour rule guides
- Colour · All same — To solve Colour · All same in Rulessa, place three tiles with the same colour in the affected row or column.
- Colour · All different — To solve Colour · All different in Rulessa, the three tiles in the affected row or column must use three different colours.
- Colour · Exactly 2 same — To solve Colour · Exactly 2 same in Rulessa, create one matching colour pair plus one tile of a different colour in the affected line.
Shape rule guides
